The Ideal Setup |
THE CARDS
Holy Smite – Priest staple that can finish off any Holy Nova leftover or prevent one-off lethal situations
Power Word: Shield – Card draw, mainly
Zombie Chow – Early board presence that could chip off your opponent’s face fast as you wait for Wailing Soul to silence him—no free 5HP for you, worthy opponent.
Ancient Watcher – Who would kill Ancient Watcher early on? He usually just stays there while your opponent figures out what you’re gonna do with it.
Ironbeak Owl – Mainly for Sludge Belcher but you can use this to silence Ancient Watcher, Zombie, or Dancing Swords if Wailing Soul isn’t there yet.
Shadow Word: Death – Priest staple, especially for opponents like Druids who Innervate + Big Minion early in the game
Thoughtsteal – Card cycling and maybe you’ll get an awesome card from your opponent
Dancing Swords – Early 4/4 minion
Shadow Madness – Mainly for “borrowing” Sludge Belcher so your minions can attack to the face. Opponents usually plop Sludgie down by Turn 5 but by Turn 4, you already have Wailing Soul + silenced minions. Therefore, “borrowing” will do.
Chillwind Yeti – Nothing to silence about him and he’s an awesome 4/5.
Defender of Argus – As if silenced Ancient Watchers don’t deal enough damage already… Get this guy flanked between your watchers or Dancing Swords for bigger damage while putting up defenses.
Gnomish Inventor – Card draw. I cannot use Cleric or Acolyte because Wailing Soul may render them useless. Novice Engineer is too easy to kill, hence Gnomish Inventor.
Wailing Soul – The main guy. ’nuff said
Holy Nova – Board clear that heals your existing damaged minions.
Loatheb – Because Loatheb. He stalls your opponent and he has a 5/5 body.
Sludge Belcher – Most annoying taunt ever.
Cabal Shadow Priest – Steals nice minions like Armorsmith and Maexxna.
Sylvanas Windrunner – Scary minion that will make your opponent hesitate on playing Brawl or putting Ragnaros on board.
Ragnaros the Firelord – YOLO burst
Let me know if you have any ideas on how to make this deck better.
